The challenge has been set by the lovely ladies at PAIL to answer twenty questions to get to know me better (to check out other great things going on at PAIL, click on the PAIL button on my sidebar). So here are my answers to the following twenty questions.
What was the last thing you threw in the garbage/recycling? Chocolate wrappers (mmmmmmm chocolate)
What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod? Would have to be the entire album of The Best of Fleetwood Mac. Can't get enough of the Mac!
What is your favorite quote? "Get busy living or get busy dying" from Shawshank Redemption. Great movie and great line.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?Vacuuming hands down. I hate pulling the vacuum around, I hate that I have to move furniture to get underneath (which you have to do with a toddler because no matter how much you clean up after they've eaten they still manage to get food everywhere!) but I like how the house always looks cleaner even for ten minutes after I'm done :-)
What is your favorite form of exercise? Walking, which I haven't done much of lately but will get back into once I'm home. Need to lose this baby weight and get fitter so I can run around after two boys!
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? I like evenings whining down after a busy day and I actually like Mondays (as well as Fridays and Saturdays) and hate Wednesdays and Sundays. Weird! The time of year would have to be Autumn and Spring here in Queensland Australia. Not too cold, not too hot just perfect weather.
What is on your bedside table? A lamp, photograph of my brother and sister, a clock and my glasses if I'm not using them.
What is your favorite body part? I really like my lips and eyebrows, are they body parts?? My lips are full and pouty. And my eyebrows have a nice shape that have minimal upkeep.
Would you use the power of invisibility for good or evil? Elaborate. Depends. I would probably use it for good because that is what would be expected of me. But I couldn't stop myself from using it to steal cookies from the jar without anyone noticing or listening in on other people's conversation for a bit of gossip!
If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? I really like being in my twenties. You're young enough that if you do something wrong you too young to know better. But old enough to also be considered mature and adult. Plus I had a lot of fun in my twenties and who wouldn't want to revisit good times of a misspent youth!
What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? BJ and I have discussed this topic again and again. We would love to buy a nice house big enough for our family and friends to gather at. We would give some money to our parents so they could retire early, maybe pay off our siblings mortgages (depending upon how much money we got), then give some to charity and put the rest into investments so we could live off the interest. Pretty boring which is why we will never win!!!
What is your biggest pet peeve? Bad drivers! They always get in front of you if you're running late or if you're kid is screaming! Hate it!
If you could know the answer to any question, what would it be? How to cure cancer. Such a huge thing at the moment for some of our family and friends that are going through treatment. It absolutely terrifies me that 50% of the population will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85! That's myself or my husband and one of our two kids. Scary stuff!
At what age did you become an adult? Probably when I became a parent. Though I like to think that I will never totally grow up and there will always be a part of me that enjoys doing all the kid stuff and being silly. But now I get to show the next generation and be silly with them!
Recommend a book, movie, or television show in three sentences or less. I love Monsters Inc! If you are looking for a silly movie that cracks you up every time Monsters Inc is one I recommend! Funny, funny, funny!!!
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? I didn't get into trouble a lot as a kid but one thing that I always did was tease my little sister all the time. I don't tease her a lot anymore but have moved onto my niece instead!
What was the first album you bought with your own money? It was an Australian band called Grinspoon's debut album and my sister and I played it over and over again!
If someone wrote a book about you, what would be the title? "A pleasure to teach but talks too much". Which was the comment on every one of my school report cards!
What story do you wish your family would stop telling about you? The one when I talked my little sister into jumping out of a two story window! If she was silly enough to jump than why blame me :-) by the way my Nan has never forgiven me since it was her house and she was babysitting us at the time!
True or false: The unicorn is the greatest mythical creature. State your case. False the greatest mythical creature is the Loch Ness Monster. Hands down! Who's ever seen a photo of an Unicorn!
I like your answers. Have to agree -- Loch Ness Monster is pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteGreat answers! I love Monsters Inc (and so does my Ginny). Can't wait for the prequel coming out later this year.
ReplyDeleteOooh, Loch Ness Monster is a great answer!
ReplyDeleteNessie? Well played!
ReplyDeleteI love vacuuming! Then again, I'm a massive weirdo. ;)
