Three months...
Dear Paddy
We are finally starting to see some of your personality and even though you seemed surly up to now, you are becoming a cheeky little guy.
You are continuing to gain weight like a champ and at our last follow up appointment with the peadatriction, Dr R was really happy with how you are progressing and that we are still breast feeding. He reminded me that your adjusted age was only seven weeks at the time, twelve weeks actual, so don't be too worried if you're a couple of weeks behind in terms of development. But your neck and overall strength is terrific for your age. You certainly like being sat up to look around at the world and your big brother!
You had your first big car trip this month when we travelled down to Nanna's and Poppy's for your Christening and you got to meet your great Grandparents and great Aunt and Uncle. You were terrific in the car, our little perfect passenger, that your Dad is planning two more car trips in the next month!
Sleep wise, you are still waking at least once a night for a feed and are getting two big naps and one little power nap into your days. You do like to wake early from your morning nap but if you do, we usually head to the park and see if you go to sleep in the car or stroller instead. This month you moved into your own room into your cot and out of the bassinet. A move that hasn't fazed you at all.
Can wait to see what next month brings. Love you lots, your Mumma.

The Monday Snapshot...
This past weekend, we travelled down to my home town to have Patrick christened. I was also privileged to become my niece's God-Mother.
It was a eight hour round trip and both boys were terrific travelling buddies. We worked around Patrick's feed and nap times, which worked out wonderfully. When we stopped for Paddy's feed, around half way through the trip, it gave James a break to run around and have some lunch before getting back in the car. James was happy to play with some toys or 'read' a book or two while we were driving.
While James did have periods of whining it was short lived until we have him a snack or put on some music for him to dance to. He's now done this trip a few times and each time gets better at being in the car.
I've actually got a couple of photos for you. The first is James playing in the back of the car, with his laptop. And the second is my Mum and Dad with their four grandchildren. Mum is holding Patrick and my Dad is holding my God-Daughter with my other niece in front with James. James was a bit clingy during the whole ceremony so when it came to photos, BJ just dropped him in front of the group and ran. James actually stood there for a couple of photos looking like a stunned mullet!

Wordless Wednesday...
I know this is Wordless Wednesday, so I'm supposed to let the photos do the talking but I just have four words for these photos of my boy.
What was I thinking!

Mother's Day...
It was a simple task, brushing your teeth, we do it twice a day. I go first to show you how it's done and you imitates me with your own toothbrush. It's funny how much you are picking up on each day. Like the saying goes, "monkey see, monkey do".
Today we are busy to get out the door for daycare and Dadda been away all week leaving me a bit frazzled from time to time. But at this moment while brushing your teeth, I realise, I'm your Mum. The one responsible to show you how to brush your teeth, tie your shoes and teach you right from wrong. Such a huge responsibility but one I grab with two hands everyday.
I know I seem a little harsh sometimes with making you sit at the table to eat instead of roaming the house or nagging you to be gentle around your little brother but these are all little steps to the man you will (God willing) become one day.
I can't believe we only met eighteen months ago, it feels like I've know you my whole life. And even though some days I don't even get a chance to stop and think, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you and your brother more than words can express and I love being your Mum.
